The Health
Sciences GBU group develops and supports a suite of integrated solutions to
support clinical trials and safety monitoring of medical products in healthcare
& life sciences industries. We are aiming to build a comprehensive services
based system that addresses the information and decision support needs

is open for Software Engineering Excellence (SEE) group in Oracle Health
Science GBU. SEE group is responsible for enabling the development organization
with 700+ people with various engineering best practices to deliver software
faster, cheaper and better. SEE is a small group of high performers, who work
on bringing in the best work methods to achieve excellence in software engineering.
These work methods could be process methodologies, modern work methods (Social,
Gamification etc.,) and engineering best practices. SEE works one stablishing
process strategy, process design / development / implementation /improvement,
measurement, training, coaching, establishing centers of excellence for various
key activities such as project estimation, agile development practices, testing
etc.

Manage the development and implementation process of a
specific company product. Detailed Description
Manage the development and
implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional
teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct
schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation
through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion
of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and
monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support
and direction. Job Requirements
Work is non-routine and very
complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in
area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member,
providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent
experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management,
product design or related experience preferred. Additional Details




Profile:
- BE/ME/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/MBA or
equivalent from a reputed institute or university
- Should have minimum of 8-12 years
experience in design and development of enterprise applications
- Should have experience in working
with or leading development teams using agile development methodologies as
SCRUM Master / Professional / Trainer
- Should have exposure in
implementing industry best practices for software engineering activities –
methods, practices, tools etc
- Should possess experience working
with CMMI, TSP, Agile methodologies or Six Sigma
- Should possess experience and
strong interest in coaching and mentoring teams
- Prefer experience in using Oracle
technologies, J2EE, C# and .Net
Job Description
As a member of
Software Engineering Excellence team, incumbent will be responsible for
- Work with senior management in
planning, initiating, and leading software engineering excellence
initiatives
- Develop best practices in the
areas of Software Design and Development
- Develop best practices in the
areas of Software Project Estimation & Project Management
- Design metrics to measure various
aspects of Software Development & Management
- Build training materials for each
of the practices developed and help train the development organization
- Develop process automation
strategy, requirements & plans
- Provide direction to the tools
team for development of process automation tools
- Coach the development organization
to institutionalize the best practices & implementation of tools
- Continuously monitor the
performance of the development organization and initiate appropriate
actions to address issues
- Steer the development organization
to higher levels of process maturity
