What will you do?
You will establish and lead the emerging Oracle Infinity development team in Hyderabad, India. This team will complement the US-based team to increase overall development velocity and throughput, leveraging common development practices and technology stacks to deliver high-value customer facing features and functionality against aggressive schedules. You will be an active voice in the Oracle Infinity Engineering Leadership team, collaborating with your peers to drive improvement into our core processes, making us the best team we can be.

- Ability to attract and retain strong engineers as we rapidly grow the team.
- Seasoned leader, with proven success managing development teams and delivering value against a strategic vision.
- 15+ years of professional software development experience, working on large-scale, data-centric, enterprise commercial products in the cloud.
- Proven track record leading teams and driving high-quality product releases against aggressive schedules.
- Advocate of Agile practices and methodologies.
- Proven success owning end-to-end cross-functional projects, including product definition, roadmap planning, resource planning and project execution.
- Passion for data-based decision making, leveraging key metrics to assess current team performance and to drive improvements over time.
- Passion for solving problems and bringing innovative solutions to a wide range of issues from project execution, to technical challenges, and team dynamics.
- Ability to balance near term project decisions and achieve tactical goals while retaining a strategic focus.
- Passion for software engineering as a discipline, leveraging appropriate tools to drive code hygiene, test coverage, manage technical debt, and automate core-engineering processes.
- Holistic understanding of QA processes and experience integrating QA into scrum teams, breaking down traditional Dev/QA silos
- Experience with test-driven development and test automation approaches, leveraging tools such as Junit.
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal) and a desire to collaborate with teams in the US and abroad.
Desired:
- University degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Experience with development in Big Data technology stack and languages (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Scala)
- Experience with DevOps toolsets and Continuous Delivery
