Overview:

Oracle HGBU products are industry leaders in Hospitality segment – F&B and Hotels.

Oracle HGBU is developing scalable and modular solutions that encompass front office, back office, CRM, sales and catering, revenue management, reservations, distribution, point-of-sale, and a multitude of other hospitality industry functions.

Responsibilities:
- Executes the full SDLC from business requirement to product delivery
- Responsible for a team of software engineers and functional architects
- Hands-on in terms of design, coding, reviews etc
- Ensure quality deliverables meeting schedule, scope, cost and other constraints
- Acts as a mentor to the team
- Manage product deliveries at the same time
- Interact, liaise, and communicate status updates through development cycles

Qualifications:

- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills
- Strong communication and Analytical skills
- Thorough understanding of product development
- 9 to 18 years of professional software development experience on J2EE stack including 2+ years in management roles
- Experience building/maintaining a high volume transaction systems, preferably Cloud product offerings
- Experience with onsite development groups is preferred
- Strong technical background in Java, Webservices (REST, SOAP), Javascript, AngularJS, KnockoutJS, CSS3, HTML5

Oracle is looking for an Architect / Senior Principal Applications Engineer - Cloud to be part of Health Sciences Group in Bangalore, who will provide technical leadership to a group of highly competent technical engineers. This is a senior technical leadership hands-on technology role at Oracle with responsibilities ranging from assisting product development teams in the appropriate selection and use of technical frameworks, platforms and design patterns, to venturing into unchartered areas of technologies to solve complex problems. Responsibilities: 
 

• Hands on experience on building highly scalable enterprise grade cloud application with built in high availability and disaster recovery.
• Work with cross-functional team members from Architecture, Product Strategy & Development, QA, Sales & Services, and other Central teams to architect and design multiple products
• Authority in Technical design, internally recognized as highly competent in technical areas, will review and participate in product architecture and design
• Drive significant technology initiatives end to end and across multiple products and multiple layers of architecture
• Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms
• Deeper understanding of architecture principles and methods, technology and standards, actively stay abreast of trends and standards, recommend best practices and share learning
• Provide technical leadership, be a role model to software engineers pursuing technical career path in engineering, coach and mentor other engineers in processes and methodologies
• Provide/inspire innovations that fuel the growth of Oracle as a whole
• Preferably experience with application development in Health Sciences domain

 
 
Qualifications: 

• BS/MS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
• 10+ years of development experience on Java platforms & cloud applications
• Object Oriented Design & Development skills with recent hands on experience in enterprise cloud application architecture, development, and deployment.
• Solid programming experience and very strong in programming disciplines like object oriented principles, design patterns, data structures and unit testing
• Passion for engineering and solving very complex engineering problems that delights customers
• Must have experience working with RDBMS and no-SQL databases
• Must have experience working with Web Logic Application server
• Expert knowledge of Java/JEE technologies and frameworks such as EJB, JSF, JDBC, Web Services paradigms like REST/SOAP.
• Good to have experience using a Profiling tool such as JProfiler and working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS (HTML5, CSS3).
• Experience integrating with third party systems and engaging with partners/vendors
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
• Ability to provide technical leadership to the team
