Brief Posting Description

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

Detailed Description

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Job Requirements

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. Preferred Qualifications: BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. A of one year of software engineering or related experience.

Additional Details

Engineering manager in this role will lead a team of application engineers, QA engineers, Business Analysts and will be in-charge of developing world class solutions in PPM domain. Engineering manager will be responsible for building products from scratch and s/he will work on cutting edge Oracle technologies used in Fusion platform. Our group keeps a great focus on innovation, agility and employee empowerment so an ideal profile for Engineering Manager position will have a good mix of (i) hands-on technical skills (ii) formal project management experience and (iii) great people management and leadership skills.Following are some of the requirements for this position:

· Previous experience on Oracle Fusion technologies will be a great advantage. Experience of leading end to end product development will be a good advantage

· Previous experience of leading teams consisting application engineers, QA engineers and Business Analysts

· Minimum 8 years of experience in developing enterprise products using Java/ J2EE and web technologies such as JSPs, Applet, JSF, DHTML, AJAX, Spring, Struts and ADF

· Good experience on architectures and design for high availability web based products. Experience on RDBMS and application servers and Oracle and Weblogic will be a clear preference

· Experience with testing frameworks such as Silk, QTP, JUnit, Fitnesse

· Development using agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum) will be a great advantage

· Formal project management experience will make ramp-up time very less as our products are from PPM domain
