Oracle’s Tax & Utilities Global Business Unit (TUGBU) provides commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software solutions that enable their customers in Government and Utilities to improve customer service and streamline billing and other industry-specific processes whilst reliably meeting ever-changing policies and regulatory deadlines.

Role:

This manager/director-level position is primarily responsible for the growth and maturation of the Oracle TUGBU offshore center in Hyderabad, India and overseeing the delivery for all corresponding customer projects in the Testing Service Line. Leveraging proven expertise in offshore teams and the development of new Testing offshore offerings, successful candidates will work with the TUBGU management team to define, develop and roll out new offshore testing service offerings. Key area will include automated regression testing.


KEY OBJECTIVE

• Responsible for helping Build, Develop and Mature the Regression Testing Service Offering and Lead the first project for the Practice.
• Plans, organizes, directs and controls the work activities and staff of a Service Line consulting practice. Normally manages and leads through management team consisting of Practice, Delivery and Technical Managers.
• Responsible for operational results of Service Line group, quality of consulting delivery and assuring reference ability for that group.
• Oversee the management of multiple delivery projects for a global region (AMER, EMEA, APAC) with full responsibility for ensuring that the TUGBU India Delivery Center meets all requirements in the delivery of a quality application to the Customer within agreed time and cost plans.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
(Outline specific tasks/responsibilities of the role)
• Role requires to execute the growth plan / strategy to aggressively grow business in Utilities application Regression Testing automation Service Line.
• Practice Management responsibilities:
• Ensure successful delivery of projects (Schedule, Quality, Budget)
• Plan and determine, in conjunction with Delivery Managers/Project Managers, the assignment of staff to projects and the scheduling of administrative time (including training, vacation, etc.)
• Manage staff utilization and profitability at the Practice level
• Ensure that all staff members comply with the TUGBU India Delivery Center Software Engineering processes for Testing Services.
• Staff recruiting, management, and career planning.
• Provide project management expertise (resourcing, governance, quality) and project implementation support around subject matter expertise
• Customer management responsibilities:
• Establish and manage the relationship between the customer and TUGBU India Delivery Center
• Ensure that all relevant information about the customer relationship is understood and adhered to by the TUGBU India Delivery Center team
• Manage Customer expectations

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE and TRAINING
(Indicate the essential experience, qualifications and attributes required to perform this position effectively)
• Established capability in developing Offshore and/or running practices that provide Offshore Testing services in building regression automation suites.
• University degree in IT, Computer Science or any of its equivalent
• Has 4+ years of consulting services senior management experience and at least 10-15 years consulting or industry experience. Willing to travel regionally with some national/international travel.
• Proven experience in developing and growing large consulting business; Experience and ability to work directly with senior client and Oracle internal staff during implementation and sales cycle;
• Experience with complex and large consulting implementations - bidding, contracting, project management and client management;
• Strong skills in presentation, communication and in business planning; Leadership skills in multi cultural environment;
• Demonstrated People Management capability; Experience in mentoring other managers and senior staff and Strong business acumen
• Proven customer facing experience within professional service organizations
• Proven project management experience in IT project delivery. Experience in remote consulting and remote development methodology
• Good Understanding of Test Management and all phases of the Software Testing Lifecycle- especially Test Design, Development, and Execution including Defect Tracking Cycle, Defect Metrics Reporting etc.
• Significant experience designing, architecting and developing Automation frameworks (Keyword driven, Data Driven or Hybrid) is required.
• Requires expertise in Test Automation Tools - Rational Robot or Rational Functional Test, HP Winrunner/Load Runner/QTP, Oracle Open Script or Oracle OATS.
• Knowledge of Oracle Utilities Products of Customer Care and Billing (CCB v2.x), Meter Data management (Loadstar or MDM2.x), Moble Workforce Management (MWMv1.x or 2.x), Work and Asset management (WAM), Integration stack, Network Management(NMS) or Outage management (OMS) is a plus.
• Technical capability in the areas of Java, J2EE and experience with Building Custom Solutions using the tool stack is a plus.
• Knowledge in Customer Management and Billing Systems is a plus
• Energy industry knowledge, Smart Grid, Smart Meter, Energy Deregulations etc., is a plus
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
